Software Veteran Andreas Kuehlmann Joins Coverity as Vice President of Research & Development

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Coverity, Inc., the software integrity leader, today announced Andreas Kuehlmann has joined Coverity as vice president of research and development. Kuehlmann will lead the planning and execution of Coverity's engineering and research and development organization. Kuehlmann most recently served as a Cadence Fellow and the director of Cadence Research Laboratories where he led advanced technology development and drove the company's system and software verification strategy.

In addition to Kuehlmann's work at Cadence, he has an appointment as adjunct professor at UC Berkeley, is an IEEE Fellow and currently serves as President of the IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Prior to Cadence, Kuehlmann was part of the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center where he worked on various projects in design automation. Kuehlmann's work on functional equivalence checking was key to the development of IBM's high-end processors and was later broadly adapted by the EDA industry.
