ASHEVILLE, N.C., Dec. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovative Solar Systems, LLC (ISS), has established its position as one of the largest developers of utility-scale solar PV in the country, with over 2GW of projects currently in its pipeline. ISS plans to expand to over 6GW in the next 24-36 months. The recent ITC extension has attracted many new investors interested in both short term returns (Approx. 30-50% in approx.12 months for early stage project development) as well as long term returns which are typically in the 10% range if the entity funds all construction costs and owns the project long term (20-40 years typically).
ISS is one of the few, if any, solar farm companies in the U.S. with that magnitude of projects under development, and the ITC extension, along with continuously decreasing equipment and installation costs, will allow returns to be even higher for investors. ISS will allow investors to become partners in the company's projects using several different strategies. Investors will have the option to invest/partner in blocks of early-stage development projects in order to generate returns of approximately 30%-50% in as little as 12 months. The partner will also have full preferential access to the pipeline of projects, or the partners would also have the option to fully finance, build and own projects for the next 40 years for approximate 10% or better returns.
ISS has had an extensive track record and footprint in the USA where the company has sold over 520MWac of projects, and currently has several large solar farms under construction in NC: (1) 75MWac project, (2) 80MWac projects, and several 50MWac, 35MWac and many 2MWac and 5MWac deals.
The market for utility-scale solar farm projects has grown greatly in the past few years, and ISS has consolidated its position as a key developer for the US market. ISS has an extensive worldwide list of clients eager to acquire these new deals either at NTP or COD, and ISS spokesperson says the company is currently seeking new partners with as little as $5Mill investment capital or as much as $5Bill capital to become partners in the company's massive revolving pipeline of solar projects.
