Solarize Albany Begins Second Year of Community Solar Discounts

ALBANY, N.Y., July 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing the success of its 2015 effort, Solarize Albany enters its second year of Solar educational workshops and community driven system discounts. Solarize Albany has selected Apex Solar Power as the preferred installer for their county wide effort to bring discounted solar installations to homeowners in Albany County. Last year, Apex installed 51 Solar Systems as a part of the Solarize Albany program.
Solarize is a NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) backed program that is run by a group of community Volunteers. This Solarize Committee independently reviews applications from Solar Installation companies and chooses the best proposal for their program based on: the Company's experience, reputation, pricing, and efficiency at providing residential and commercial solar solutions. Residents who sign up for the Solarize Program receive free site assessments from the solar installer, and a discounted price due to the community wide effort. The goal of Solarize is to provide residents with a more cost effective solution, and by reviewing the multiple companies who applied- recommend a vetted and quality installer to serve the program.
