Soldiers' Angels to Donate Voice-Activated Laptop Computers to Help Local Wisconsin Wounded Service Members

MADISON, Wis., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Wisconsin Chapter of Soldiers' Angels and its Valour IT Program announced today the presentation of two voice-activated laptop computers to assist local service members who have been injured while serving in the United States Military.  This donation is made possible by a $2,500 grant from the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation.  Barb Anderson, president of the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation, will present a check to Soldiers' Angels at the start of the ceremony.

The ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 28th at The Gordon Flesch Company corporate headquarters located at 2675 Research Park Drive in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. These local service members are alumni of the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project.

The ceremony will also feature a presentation to the Social Workers Department of the Madison VA Hospital of gas cards for veterans who need help with fuel expenses to get to their medical appointments.  These funds were raised by the Madison area angels at their recent bowling event held at Schwoegler's Park Towne Lanes in Madison.

To date, over 37,000 members of our nation's armed forces have been physically wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Studies estimate that more than 300,000 will suffer from the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.

WWP provides programs and services to assist injured veterans and their families during their recovery, rehabilitation and transition.
