PARSIPPANY, N.J., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Solix, Inc., a leading provider of government and commercial process outsourcing solutions that administers $4 billion on behalf of its clients, today announced the appointment of Carol J. Grant to the company's Board of Directors.
Ms. Grant serves as Senior Vice President-External Affairs for First Wind, an independent U.S.-based wind energy company, where her responsibilities include public affairs, public relations and communications. Ms. Grant served the City of Providence, Rhode Island from 2003 to 2007 where she led multiple departments and strategic initiatives for neighborhood services and economic growth. Ms. Grant also held executive positions in law, external affairs, and operations for NYNEX where she served for 14 years. Ms. Grant has served as Chair of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and also served the Governor's Economic Policy Council. Ms. Grant received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan, School of Law and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Missouri.

The addition of Ms. Grant to Solix's Board of Directors comes during an active first quarter of the year in which Solix also announced its acquisition of Consolidated Market Response (CMR); a call center operation that was a division of Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNSL), a full-service telecommunications provider. Consolidated Market Response has been renamed Solix CMR, LLC and employs around 350 people.
