Solta Medical Donates Fraxel re:store(R) Laser System to Grossman Burn Foundation

NEWPORT COAST, Calif., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Solta Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLTM) today announced the donation of a Fraxel re:store laser system to the Grossman Burn Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Grossman Burn Center, a worldwide leader in innovative treatment and care for burn patients and their families. The Fraxel re:store system will be used to reduce the appearance of scarring caused by traumatic thermal damage.

Fraxel re:store laser treatment resurfaces damaged skin to uncover the smoother, healthier skin underneath. For burn victims, Fraxel re:store treatment penetrates the outer layers of damaged skin (epidermis) and reaches deeper layers of skin (dermis) where collagen and elastin are located. The laser columns stimulate a natural healing process that produces new collagen to replace the damaged tissue with new, healthy skin cells, and improve the skin's overall tone and texture.
