The milestone reflects how much the aesthetic medical device industry has changed in the past decade.  The introduction of non-invasive devices like the Thermage's radiofrequency technology system in 2002 and Fraxel's fractional resurfacing laser in 2004 gave physicians popular, new options that provided patients effective results without the risks and downtime associated with surgery.
