Somos Establishes Advisory Board of Telecom and Tech Leaders to Guide Strategic Development Initiatives

HERNDON, Va., Oct. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Somos, Inc., a provider of registry management services for the telecommunications industry, today announced the appointment of an Advisory Board to assist the company's executive team and Board of Directors in addressing key customer needs and marketplace trends. The Advisory Board provides a forum for key industry leaders to deliver first-hand insights and feedback on Somos' product and solutions strategies.

The members of the Advisory Board include the following:

Somos is the neutral administrator of the SMS/800 Toll-Free Number platform as appointed by the Federal Communications Commission. Somos also manages the Texting and Smart Services Registry to facilitate texting over Toll-Free Numbers.

The Advisory Board members will meet regularly with Somos' management team and Board of Directors to establish new lines of industry communication and collaboration around key issues.  These include the continued expansion of Toll-Free Numbers into digital marketing, the responsible management of texting over Toll-Free Numbers, and how to spur industry innovation to address emerging use cases for Toll-Free communication.
