Sonic Foundry Partners With JISC 2011 to Create Most Interactive Hybrid Conference to Date

MADISON, Wis., March 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sonic Foundry, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting, lecture capture and knowledge management, together with Digital Event Services from Saville Audio Visual, will stream JISC 2011, making it the most interactive event in the history of the conference.

With more than 600 delegates expected to attend JISC11, taking place March 14 – 15 in Liverpool UK, a large remote audience will also have the opportunity to participate thanks to a new hybrid conference experience through Mediasite by Sonic Foundry.

The JISC annual conference has used social media technologies in the past to extend the reach of the conference. Last year more than 400 people took part in the online conversation around the hashtag #jisc10 on Twitter, with over 2000 tagged tweets being posted before, during and after the event. This year the conference will use the hashtag #jisc11,
