
Sons of Italy to Honor President Bill Clinton at Annual Gala in Washington, D.C.
PRESIDENT OF ITALY, QUINCY JONES AMONG HONORED GUESTS
WASHINGTON, May 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) will honor President Bill Clinton for his dedication to public service at its 22nd annual gala in Washington, D.C. next week. Among the special guests attending are:
- Giorgio Napolitano, President of Italy
- Quincy Jones, Conductor, producer, arranger and composer
- Gen. Raymond Odierno, Commander of U.S. Forces – Iraq
- Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House [expected]
The foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA). Founded in 1905, OSIA is the biggest and oldest national organization for men and women of Italian heritage in the United States.
Since 1959, the SIF has given more than $110 million to education, medical research, cultural preservation, disaster relief and other special projects.
