DETROIT, Nov. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit (MM-O-DD) is presenting the inaugural Fashion Design Dare Challenge sourceFORMATION. The exhibition features capsule collections by established Detroit designers: Lynette Halalay and Mandisa Smith, along with Luxembourg-based designer Feyrouz Ashoura, creating a local-to-global collaborative platform. The local Designers will bring the iconic Diamond Chair by Harry Bertoia to life through two interpretive couture looks for one exclusive night on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017, at 6pm- 8pm. With original music composed and performed by Detroit musician Liz Larin.
This LIVE fashion exhibition is the grand finale to the month-long gallery exhibit sourceFORMATION Supply Chain of Michigan, featured this month at the Detroit Center for Design + Technology (DCDT), 4219 Woodward, in Midtown. DCDT is a strong supporter of the MM-O-DD's mission of design edutainment to all ages. Their programs provide additional opportunities to engage: organizations, professionals, students and groups within the city.
