KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Oct. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- beautyexpo 2016, firmly established as the leading and longest running event for the beauty industry in Malaysia and the region prepares to present the industry with a larger event this year with 443 brands represented on the show floor spanning over 10,000 sq m as it opens its doors to visitors at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 14 to 17 October 2016. Organised by UBM Asia, the event this year will add several new features and showcase areas in direct response to market needs, potential and growth. Aside from the main exhibition which will feature over 200 participating companies representing 22 countries, several speciality zones including beauty, hair, make-up and nail zones it will also include pavilions representing Korean, Taiwanese, Thai and Singaporean manufacturers and suppliers, and a dedicated product demo and seminars area. The 2016 edition will also include new and first-time participating companies with product categories such as Halal and Bumiputera products, working in close collaboration Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and in-line with Malaysia's aspirations to become a leading global producer of Halal products and services, a market which is estimated at USD945.8 million in Southeast Asia and is expected to reach USD1037.7 million by the end of this year (2016).

Also debuting at the event this year will be an exclusive 'Health and Wellness Zone' for the progressive 'new healthy' market and will include a range of products such as vitamins, nutrition, antioxidants, age-based nutrition, energy and stamina, weight management, and fortified foods and beverages. Taking place alongside the event on the show floor during the 4-day event will be several competitions organised in conjunction with leading industry associations. For the very first time the organisers have launched beautyface Embroidery-Malaysia International Embroidery Competition co-organised with Beauty World Lifestyle, Brow Art Asia & Singapore Aesthetic Education Pte Ltd. Another most anticipated competition held every year at beautyexpo is the APHCA Hair & Makeup Competition which will run-concurrent with Pertandingan Inovasi Seni. This competition is co-organised with Asia Pacific Hairdressers & Cosmetologist Association (APHCA) and supported by Bumiputera Hairdressing Association (BUHA) and Malaysia Bumiputera Make Up Artist Association (MBMUAA). Both new and returning visitors to the event can expect an enthralling event with several new features and plenty of innovative beauty products showcased exclusively at beautyexpo over the event period.
