Southern California Estate Tax Planning Law Firm Doubles in Size and Offers New Estate Services
IRVINE, Calif., May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The law firm of Albrecht & Barney recently doubled in size, despite the economic downturn, and its partners attribute the success to the firm's focus on exceptional client service.
Plans for the firm's expansion began last year, when it decided to look for additional office space. "After more than a decade in the same suite, we decided it was time to re-energize the practice," managing partner Mark E. Powell explained. "Our staff is well trained and efficient, and we knew the firm's reputation would support our expansion. We found the right space, and then we focused on finding lawyers who share our belief that an attorney's top priority should be providing value to clients, not billing the most hours."
The new attorneys significantly broaden the firm's estate services. David P. Collins joined the practice after working with a national firm, bringing a focus on business succession planning. Katherine J. Hughes joined the practice after years at a national accounting firm and a regional law firm, bringing experience in trust administration. Anson T. Cain will join the practice next month, after graduating from the University of Miami School of Law's masters program in estate planning. The firm plans to add Jillian C. Stockton as a fourth new attorney after she graduates from Chapman Law School.
Richard J. Albrecht and Colleen Barney continue their practices in advanced estate planning. Mark E. Powell continues to focus on charitable planning and wealth preservation. And Charles Morris continues to focus on estate and gift tax audits and appeals.
Albrecht & Barney looks forward to its next decade as the leading estate tax planning law firm in Orange County.
