Southern Kentucky Energy Completes Acquisition Of Natural Gas Operations
Company Adds Significant Production, Leases, and Gathering Capacity to Existing Operations in South Central Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky., April 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Kentucky Energy, LLC (SOKY Energy) announced today that it has completed the purchase of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines in South Central Kentucky from Atmos Gathering Company, LLC of Houston, TX. SOKY Energy has also acquired over 100 producing gas wells that are connected to the pipeline network from Pioneer Oil Company, Inc. of Vincennes, IN. These producing assets will be added to SOKY Energy's existing operations in Warren and Butler Counties, KY.

SOKY Energy is a privately held energy company that owns and operates pipelines and leases covering multiple counties in Kentucky. The company has both oil and natural gas production and is focusing on expanding its natural gas distribution network which provides cost-effective clean-burning natural gas to its customers. The company plans to continue growing and optimizing its pipeline infrastructure north of Bowling Green, KY.
