FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Specialty grocer, Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, announced today the grand opening of its new Melville location on December 1. The new market marks the brand's sixth on Long Island and seventh overall. The full-service supermarket, featuring a gourmet Italian theme, an upscale design and a unique shopping experience, is located at 890 Walt Whitman Road on Route 110, North of the Northern State Parkway.

Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace will open its doors to customers at 10:00am, December 1, following a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that welcomes Melville residents, as well as community and business leaders. The company will be celebrating on December 2 and 3 with family friendly events including Santa Claus, holiday crafts, face painting and more.

The opening of the new 53,000-square-foot Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace marks the successful conclusion of a six-month build process which brought together New Jersey-based Ruitenberg Lind Design Group, who was chosen to design the new space, and Arken Inc., who managed the actual building construction.

The Route 110 location is a one-of-a-kind Marketplace offering expanded grocery, produce, deli, meat, and bakery departments, along with a full complement of specialty departments.
