Spheryx Protein Aggregate Results Presented in Prestigious Venues: Presentations at PEGS Europe and Publication in Soft Matter
Results from Spheryx research on protein aggregates will be presented in two posters at PEGS Europe, the largest European event covering all aspects of protein and antibody engineering. Work performed in collaboration with scientists at New York University on the morphology of protein aggregates will be published in Soft Matter, a top tier, peer reviewed journal serving the physics, chemistry and biology research communities.
NEW YORK, Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Spheryx, Inc. is pleased to announce that the company will present two posters at PEGS Europe. The posters, entitled "A New Method for Protein Aggregate Detection: Total Holographic Characterization®" and "Distinguishing Protein Aggregates from Silicone Oil by Symmetry and Fractal Dimension" will be presented on November 3 and 4 at the EPIC SANA Lisboa Hotel, Lisbon, Portugal. PEGS Europe, the largest European event covering all aspects of protein and antibody engineering, brings together a cross section of protein scientists from leading biologics producers and research institutions. Additional information about PEGS Europe can be found at www.pegsummiteurope.com. Spheryx also announces the publication of an article entitled "Holographic Characterization of Colloidal Fractal Aggregates" in Soft Matter (DOI: 10.1039/C6SM01790H) in collaboration with Prof. David Grier and his research group at New York University. This paper demonstrates that Total Holographic Characterization® can assess the shape, size and composition of pharmaceutically important protein aggregates as well as other irregularly shaped particles.
