ORRVILLE, Ohio, Jan. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Regardless of which teams make it to the big game, one thing is certain: on Feb. 02, 2014 Americans will dig in to 30 million pounds of snacks including chicken wings, potato chips, tortilla chips, pretzels and nuts. For those looking to up their big game entertaining this year, turn to Crosse & Blackwell®, a line of versatile, high quality condiments to enhance the flavor of just about any dish – from appetizers and dips to meats and seafood. While the British may not know much about American football, they have been using Crosse and Blackwell since 1706.
Major Grey's Chutney, a flavorful medley of tropical fruits like mango, tamarind and lime, is a delicious appetizer when poured over cream cheese or served as a marinade for pork or chicken. Originally derived from Indian cuisine, the name 'chutney' comes from the word "chatnu," meaning "to taste." Use it to create exotic Peanut Butter Jalapeno Poppers.
Rich and zesty Crosse & Blackwell Seafood Sauces are a simple way to make a big impression at the snack table. Made with choice ingredients like tamarinds, ripe tomatoes and pure ground horseradish, Seafood Cocktail Sauce and Shrimp Sauce are the ideal complement to succulent fresh seafood like shrimp, crab, lobster and oysters. They can also be used to make family-friendly Fiesta Shrimp Appetizer.
Adding vibrant flavor and gourmet flair to the simplest dishes is easy with Crosse & Blackwell Relishes, Capers and Cocktail Onions. These little jars pack a punch of texture, taste and flavor that will add a special touch to game day snacks and appetizers.
With Crosse & Blackwell products on hand, there's no reason why armchair athletes can't enjoy an exceptional food fest on every game day – no matter which team wins.
