Splunk, Inc. Hosts Second Annual Worldwide Users' Conference
Showcases range of new apps; highlights customer successes
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Splunk®, Inc., the leading provider of operational intelligence software, today kicked off .conf2011, its second annual worldwide users' conference, at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. Major themes of the conference include Splunk's use in Big Data and the Cloud. Sessions will highlight the wide uses of Splunk presented by customers such as the Department of Energy, General Electric, Salesforce.com, Staples, Expedia and Cricket Communications.
At .conf2011 Splunk users will learn new ways to maximize their investment in Splunk software. More than 50 sessions will be led by customers, partners and Splunk staff, all aimed at broadening the use of Splunk to solve a range of IT issues and provide Operational Intelligence across entire organizations.

In addition to over 600 customers from 31 countries, Splunk is welcoming significant partners to .conf2011 including sponsors Amazon Web Services (AWS), Citrix, Opscode and Systex. Each will demonstrate apps and solutions complementary to Splunk.

At the conference, Splunk is releasing the Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange. This App provides continuous monitoring and reporting of Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Microsoft Exchange 2010 infrastructures. By converging operations and security data into integrated real-time dashboards that depict patterns of Exchange usage, the Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange enables Exchange administrators to improve the operational reliability of their environments and speed security investigations.
