Sportech Racing Announces Agreement With Darby Development for Monmouth Park

NEW HAVEN, Conn., April 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sportech Racing LLC ("Sportech Racing"), a division of Sportech PLC (LSE: SPO), announces that it has entered into an agreement with Darby Development LLC, manager and operator of Monmouth Park Racetrack, to provide pari-mutuel wagering technology and services to Monmouth Park and Favorites at Woodbridge off-track wagering facility, both in New Jersey.

Monmouth Park – home of the $1,000,000, Grade I, Haskell Invitational – has been a Sportech Racing customer for 13 years under a contract with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. 

Sportech Racing will continue to provide central pari-mutuel wagering services from the company's Quantum Data Center located in New Jersey.  It will also continue to provide wagering devices at Monmouth Park and the Woodbridge OTW, as well as on-going service and support.  In addition, Sportech will install the Sportech On-Track Mobile Wagering service to allow guests of Monmouth Park to conveniently and securely wager using their own smart phone or tablet when visiting the track.
