Springs Creative Announces Collaboration With "Project Runway" and Season 8 Contestant April Johnston

ROCK HILL, S.C., Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Springs Creative Products Group, LLC (SCPG) announced today that the company recently partnered with "Project Runway" and "Project Runway" season eight contestant April Johnston to create a co-branded line of apparel fabrics, sold exclusively at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.

April Johnston is a young, motivated designer who looks to nontraditional inspiration for themes and visions. A native of Mooresville, N.C., Johnston graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).  After graduating, Johnston left for New York City to take on one of America's most popular fashion design shows "Project Runway" and placed in the top five of 17 contestants. Johnston will appear in the upcoming "Project Runway All Stars," which is set to premiere in 2012.

April Johnston's Fall 2011 collections are now available in Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores. The collection consists of paisley, floral and hand drawn prints in rich colors of black, navy and warm red and purple tones.
