Foundation and ScanOS bring scanning into the SprintRay workflow; Nano Series introduces compact chairside print, wash and cure; GC partnership expands validated restorative materials.
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SprintRay, a dental technology company whose ecosystem has produced more than 20 million dental parts worldwide, unveiled an expanded digital dentistry platform at 3DNext 2026 in Miami Beach. The announcements include Foundation, a wireless intraoral scanner built for ScanOS; the Nano Series compact chairside production workflow; and an expanded materials partnership with GC Corporation. Together, they extend SprintRay's connected workflow from scanning and design through production and post-processing.
"For years, we connected scanning and printing through third-party integrations, but the experience still required practices to move between systems," said Amir Mansouri, Ph.D., co-founder and CEO of SprintRay. "ScanOS makes scanning a native part of the SprintRay workflow, and Foundation is the first intraoral scanner built for it. With Nano Series, we have designed the print, wash and cure experience around the way chairside dentistry actually works."
Foundation and ScanOS: Scanning Built Into the Workflow
SprintRay introduced Foundation, a wireless, full-color intraoral scanner built for ScanOS, SprintRay's scanning software layer integrated with its cloud dashboard. Foundation brings scanning into the same account and interface used for design and production, helping practices move from digital capture to a finished case without a separate file export or upload step after scanning.
The Scan tab sits alongside the SprintRay dashboard's design and production tools. When scanning is complete, files are available in the cloud for the next step in the workflow. Foundation will initially launch in the United States, with first shipments expected in November 2026.
Nano Series: Built on Insights From 20 Million Printed Parts
More than 20 million dental parts have been produced across the SprintRay ecosystem, giving the company a substantial view into how clinicians use dental 3D printing. SprintRay's analysis indicates that more than 80 percent of chairside print jobs involve a single patient and a single case. While the Pro Series is engineered for throughput and multi-case production, Nano Series is purpose-built for compact chairside workflows.
NanoPrint™, NanoWash™ and NanoCure® create a connected print, wash and cure workflow occupying less than 30 inches of counter space. The Nano Series supports a broad range of clinical applications through SprintRay's validated materials library, with specific indications and availability varying by market.
NanoPrint uses a 385 nm light engine; NanoWash automates washing and drying; and NanoCure completes post-processing. AutoPrint and Job Handoff help connect production steps and carry case information through the workflow.
"We designed the Nano Series to make chairside production more intuitive and practical for the dental team," Mansouri said. "It brings the workflow together in a compact footprint while maintaining the standards clinicians expect from SprintRay."
Nano Series shipments are expected to begin in November 2026 in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the European Union, subject to applicable regional regulatory requirements and product availability. NanoWash is not part of the Canadian launch offering.
GC Partnership: Expanding Validated Restorative Materials
SprintRay and GC Corporation announced GC GRADIA® PREMi, a new hybrid ceramic restorative resin developed for the SprintRay Midas Digital Press workflow. The collaboration brings GC's restorative materials expertise to SprintRay's capsule-based Digital Press platform, with the aim of expanding material options for definitive chairside restorations. Specific clinical indications, performance claims and regional availability are subject to GC's final approved product labeling and regulatory review.
The announcement builds on SprintRay's materials strategy, which includes working with established dental materials companies to develop and validate workflows. "Openness matters, but so does validation," Mansouri said. "Our approach is to work with leading partners to broaden what clinicians can do while maintaining rigorous workflow standards."
Expanding a Proven Platform
The 3DNext announcements build on SprintRay's established portfolio in chairside dental manufacturing, including Midas Digital Press and Pro Series. With Foundation, ScanOS and Nano Series, SprintRay now offers connected technologies spanning scanning, design, production and post-processing.
The products and partnerships were unveiled at 3DNext 2026, SprintRay's flagship clinical education event in Miami Beach, under the theme "The Future, In Practice." The program brought together clinicians, educators and industry partners to explore how digital dentistry advances translate into clinical workflows. For more information, visit sprintray.com.
