Sprott Physical Gold Trust Reaches $1 Billion in Assets

TORONTO, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Sprott Asset Management LP ("Sprott Asset Management") is pleased to announce that after the recent successful follow-on offering of Units of the Sprott Physical Gold Trust ("the Trust"), the Trust's assets now exceed $1 billion. The Trust, which is listed on both the NYSE Arca and the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbols PHYS and PHY.U, respectively, was launched in February of 2010 and is designed to provide investors with a liquid, convenient and low cost way to own physical gold.
