SPSI Completes Three Year ASME Recertification

HARTVILLE, Ohio, July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SPSI (Scott Process Systems, Inc. or the Company), today announced that it has successfully completed the recertification of its full slate of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code stamps, including S – Power Boiler, PP – Power Piping Systems, U – Unfired Pressure Vessels, N – Nuclear Components, NPT – Nuclear Piping Systems (with and without design authority) and NS – Nuclear Supports (with and without design authority).  In 2012 the Company also added an NA – Nuclear Shop Assembly stamp.  The successful ASME recertification will continue through 2015.

SPSI is a privately held fabricator of process, power and nuclear piping systems used primarily in the domestic and international power generation and petrochemical industries.  Based in Hartville, Ohio, the Company is a global leader in pipe fabrication and provides solutions in the shop fabrication of piping systems for a variety of complex applications.  SPSI is recognized for its ability to fabricate World Class quality complex high and low pressure piping systems including: combined cycle heat recovery steam generators (HRSG's), alky unit pipe fabrication, benzene reduction piping systems, fossil fuel (coal) fired utility boilers, nuclear-powered utility boilers, balance of plant piping systems (BOP), turnaround piping, flue gas desulphurization systems and other clean air emission control environmental systems.
