Susan Saltonstall Duncan Honored for Decades of Legal Marketing Leadership

ORLANDO, Fla., April 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Legal Marketing Association (LMA), the United States' leading legal business development and marketing organization, has inducted Susan Saltonstall Duncan into its Hall of Fame, an award reserved for legal marketing professionals who have achieved the highest levels of leadership and achievement. Duncan was inducted into the Hall of Fame today during the LMA's Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida.

The LMA Hall of Fame Awards honor individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the legal marketing industry as leaders in the industry and the association. Honorees are selected based on criteria including professional experience and capability, advancement of the profession, service as a role model and contributions to the LMA.

Duncan has just begun her tenure as Squire Sanders' chief strategy and development officer. Her leadership role includes strategically positioning Squire Sanders as a leading global legal practice with a strong focus on identifying new areas of client need, market opportunities and delivering consistent value and services to clients.

Duncan has worked in legal business development since 1980 and is among the first US law firm in-house marketing directors, starting in 1984 when she created the position for Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz. In 1987, Duncan started what became a very successful consulting practice, advising more than 120 law firms and thousands of lawyers on best practices in strategic planning, practice and industry group planning, client service interviews, programs, team strategies and business development.
