St. Ann's Home and Cusack Care Center Come Together Under Peace Care, Inc., A New Corporate Structure

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- St. Ann's Home and Cusack Care Center are uniting under Peace Care, Inc. (Peace Care), a new not for profit corporation sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace. Under this new organization, Peace Care, Inc. will allow both facilities continue to deliver the highest quality of skilled nursing and sub-acute care to residents, patients and community they have served for a combined over 230 years.  By bringing efficiencies to administrative and business processes, Peace Care, will allow St. Ann's Home and Cusack Care Center to be more responsive to an ever-dynamic and changing healthcare environment, thereby enabling both locations to fulfill their missions as outlined by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.

St. Ann's Home shall henceforth be known as "Peace Care St. Ann's," while Cusack Care Center will be known as "Peace Care St. Joseph's."  The decision to rename Cusack Care Center to Peace Care St. Joseph's allows Peace Care to promote the critical mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace while recognizing the legacy of Cusack Care Center's original name, St. Joseph's Home for the Blind.  United under Peace Care, Peace Care St. Ann's and Peace Care St. Joseph's now become the largest not for profit Catholic skilled nursing system in Hudson County with over 400 employees.

The name change and rebranding also positively reflects the wide range of services that each facility offers.  "Peace Care St. Ann's and Peace Care St. Joseph's offer remarkable services including post acute care, outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, adult medical day care, residential care, and more.  We want to make sure that our new identity continues to build on the breadth and depth of commitment to the people we serve," said Sr. Lucille Durso of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.
