St. Edward's University Releases Video Guide to FAFSA
Financial aid priority deadline for St. Edward's University is March 1
AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Student Financial Services Office at St. Edward's University produced a two-minute video tutorial that can help anyone planning to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In the video, Steven Peterson, director of Student Financial Services at St. Edward's, shares tips for students and families to guide them through the process of completing and filing a FAFSA.
Students accepted to St. Edward's University, a top liberal arts university in Austin, Texas, for the 2013-2014 academic year are encouraged to fill out the FAFSA by the March 1 priority deadline. The FAFSA video produced by St. Edward's University helps students navigate how to complete the federal form that determines the amount and type of financial aid awarded.
FAFSA applications completed and received on or before the deadline are the first to be notified of financial aid packages for the coming school year. Last year, 87% of incoming St. Edward's freshmen received a scholarship or grant, and the average award was $17,640 (not including loans).
Once students have applied and been accepted to St. Edward's, the university may consider them for grants, campus employment and low-interest student loans.
