SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Comikaze Expo's inaugural event in 2011 set the record as the largest comic-convention debut in-the-world – and it returns to Los Angeles this weekend! Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo presented by POW! Entertainment hits the Los Angeles Convention Center on September 15 & 16. It's double the size and offers an incredible slate of interactive activities, celebrity appearances, premieres, panels, attractions from vendors, contests and more.

"This year's event will blow minds. Period. We expect over 60,000 attendees and they will be floored by how we have evolved," Co-Founder and CEO, Regina Carpinelli states. Kicking off the weekend, Comikaze will premiere Comedy Central's highly anticipated animated show, "Brickleberry." From executive producers Daniel Tosh, Waco O'Guin and Roger Black, this is an exclusive sneak-peek prior to the show's September 25^th national release.

Celebrities making an appearance at Comikaze include Stan Lee, Elvira, Linda Blair, Kevin Smith, Thomas Jane, Lou Ferrigno, Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Batman cast - Adam West, Burt Ward with Julie Newmar and more. Panel discussions run the gamut, with topics such as:

Brave attendees can participate in the new Comikaze Zombie Apocalypse, a 75,000-sq ft survival course infested with zombies. Participants will be chased through a large snaking obstacle course and must crawl, climb, and slide their way to safety. If you prefer wizards to zombies, then don't miss the Harry Potter-style Quidditch Tournament, or meander through Comikaze's two museums – The Elvira Macabre Museum, which houses the largest single collection of Elvira memorabilia (meet & greet with Elvira) or the Stan Lee Mega Museum, one of the largest Marvel collections in existence, featuring Stan Lee's personal collection and Marvel movie memorabilia (Stan will be there too).

Comikaze kicks off the weekend with several pre-show events, including Elvira's Horror Hunt, an independently-produced film festival on Thursday, Sept 13^th at the Vista Theaters and a 98.7FM concert (hosted by Stan Lee and Elvira) at Club Nokia Sept 14^th with the Godfather of Goth, Peter Murphy.
