RACINE, Wis., Aug. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Plunkett Raysich Architects is set to present plans to the Mount Pleasant Planning Commission on August 22nd for approval of a new building for local dental practice, Racine Dental Group. Racine Dental Group, a long-standing dental practice within Racine, plans to break ground on a new state of the art dental center in March of 2013. The nearly 40,000 patients served by Racine Dental Group's 17 dentists and specialists will benefit from a new facility that will bring the future of dental care to Racine.
The new dental center is planned for the vacant lot located on S. Airline Road in Mount Pleasant. As with the current facility, it will offer general dental services, a specialized children's department, oral surgery, implants, braces for children and adults, cosmetic dentistry and an in-house lab. To continue with its focus on clinical excellence and education to its patients, the center will feature new equipment and state-of-art technology. The modern internal design has been created by Practice Design Group, a firm specializing in the development of dental centers. Plunkett Raysich Architects, from Milwaukee, and Bukacek, a Racine-based construction company, will be responsible for the external design and construction of the building. The building will incorporate environmentally-friendly practices and will allow for future expansion.
Racine Dental Group, known for offering comprehensive dental services under one roof, has been in the same facility on Green Bay Road and Washington Avenue, since 1969. "Our current building has seen multiple renovations, expansions and upgrades, but with the growth of our practice and advancements in technology, we really have outgrown the old space," said Dr. Earl (Bud) Newton, board president.
