Staut and the new country duo Hanne Sørvaag & Steff Nevers are the first confirmed artists to "Countryfestivalen Seljord 2013".
For the next weeks, the festival will launch up to 25 national and international artists for the four-day long festival. This year, the festival celebrates its 15th year anniversary at the beautiful spot "Dyrskuplassen" in Seljord. Each year the festival draws over 25,000 country entusiasts to Telemark, where camping, country music, line dancing and holiday spirit leaves its mark on an otherwise quiet village. The Countryfestivalen Seljord 2013 takes place between 24th and 28th of July. Welcome!

When Hanne Sørvaag and Steff Nevers decided to go on tour together, there was no reason to let it go unnoticed. Two of Norway's most famous country artists will open the festival Wednesday 24th of July. Although Steff and Hanne have different backgrounds they've both experienced great success both nationally and internationally through their artist and songwriter careers.
Hanne has written songs for both international and Norwegian artists including pop star Sichelle and the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest finalist Didrik Solli Tangen. In 2011 she released her first country album, whose first single was immediately A-listed on NRK.
Steff on the other hand has released three country albums the last three years, and two of them were nominated for a the Norwegian Grammy Award "Spellemannsprisen".

The second release this year is one of Norway's most beloved live bands. The group from Valdres describes their music as a delightful mix of rock, jazz, pop and folk music, with deep lyrics and a very high level of sing along. Their two albums, "Staut" and "Eigarlaus", both sold over 10 000 copies, garnered both 5's and 6's by the critics, and reached respectively 1st and 2nd place on the official music list in Norway. Their last two songs were immediately A-listed on NRK Radio and stayed for months.
