CLEARWATER, Fla., April 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Deployment of a serving family member can be an unsettling time for children of Military families who may experience emotions like anxiety, sadness, loneliness and confusion. It is for this reason Victoria Ballard, The Victoria Chart Company's founder, has launched her very successful 'Stay Positive During Deployment' chart to US Military families.
Born from an initiative created on behalf of the UK's Royal Air Force, the 'Stay Positive During Deployment' chart is aimed at children aged four to eleven. It is designed to help children stay in touch with their serving family member, record events, set goals and monitor progress. It also serves as a reminder that there are great things happening and to engage with the family and friends they have around them.
Children can mark their loved ones location on the world map and write information about them, there is a poem to learn, a week-to-view calendar to complete with fun, busy activities. There is also a check list to help children move forward positively covering topics such as healthy eating, getting active, keep smiling, interacting with friends and sending a message to their serving family member.
When hung centrally in the home the 'Stay Positive During Deployment' chart provides a great focal point for all the family to refer to, bringing comfort from structure and routine.
"We have had a lot of interest over the years from US Military families in our RAF chart," says Ballard, "So I am delighted to now be able to offer a dedicated US version."
The laminated chart measures 12 x 17 inches. It comes with a sheet of smiley stickers, a dry-erase marker, mounting pads for the wall and a supportive information sheet to help families get the best results from their chart.
