StayWell Appoints David Gregg, M.D., Chief Medical Officer

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- StayWell Health Management, a recognized leader in population health management programs and research on behavior change, today announced that it has appointed David Gregg, M.D., to the position of Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Gregg has been acting in a chief medical advisory role for StayWell since the beginning of 2012.

Dr. Gregg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Harvard and a medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. He is board certified in internal medicine and licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. Dr. Gregg practiced internal medicine and occupational medicine in the Twin Cities before joining HealthPartners in Minneapolis as Vice President and Medical Officer for Health Initiatives and Business Development. After HealthPartners, Dr. Gregg joined Mercer Health & Benefits as a Principal and National Physician Consultant, working with Fortune 100 companies and national health care and information technology organizations. Prior to joining StayWell, he founded Gregg Consulting Services, a health care consulting business focused on business strategy, population health management, clinical care delivery, provider quality and cost containment. He also has consulted in areas of health care reform, including accountable care organizations (ACOs), health information exchanges (HIEs), analytics and health care technology.
