Steben & Company Names New Director of Research

ROCKVILLE, Md., Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Steben & Company, Inc., a leading provider of managed futures funds, announced today that John Dolfin, CFA, has been named Director of Research in its Research & Risk Management Group.

Mr. Dolfin has been involved in research in financial markets for over 10 years and has been responsible for due diligence and allocation to alternative strategies for the last 7 years. Most recently, Mr. Dolfin served as Director, Head of Macro and CTA Strategies at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, and Managing Director, Liquid Strategies Group at SAFANAD Inc. He holds a Bachelor's degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University, a Masters in economics from Yale University and has been a CFA charter holder since 2005.

Mr. Dolfin will report to Michael Bulley, Steben & Company's Senior Vice President, Research and Risk Management. "John not only brings significant managed futures and quantitative experience, but he is known and respected within the CTA community," Bulley said.
