SteelShad Fishing Company Announces Its First 2018 College Scholarship Winner
EAST DORSET, Vt., Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The SteelShad Fishing Company is proud to announce its first 2018 College Scholarship Winner and will award a $1,000.00 scholarship to Ms. Olivia Bussiere. The SteelShad Selection Committee has chosen Olivia based on her passionate pursuit of college bass fishing including her leadership in the formation of the College Bass Fishing Team at Norwich University in Vermont. In her application, Olivia remarks, "With the creation of our team, I hope to bring bass fishing to more colleges in Vermont, introduce new anglers to fishing and share my love for the sport. I hope to make an impact on young girls and influence them to go out and do what they love!" Olivia also makes her own soft plastics and is eager to try new lures like the SteelShad Original and SteelShad XL fishing lures.
This award represents the first of three individual college scholarships of $1,000.00 each that Steelshad will award for 2018. The SteelShad Selection Committee plans to announce two more scholarship winners in May of 2018. College Bass Fishing Students are encouraged to apply for the SteelShad Scholarship at www.steelshad.com and applicants may apply up until April 30th, 2018. The SteelShad Selection Committee will look at academic achievements, college bass fishing achievements and social media posts and engagement.
