Stellar announces addition of Dr. Michael Tenhover to its Technical Advisory Board

HENDERSON, NV, Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Stellar Resources Ltd., (OTCQB: SRRL), ("Stellar") is very pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Tenhover to its Technical Advisory Board (TAB) effective October 5th 2011.
Dr. Michael Tenhover has 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. After receiving his PhD in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1981, he joined Standard Oil of Ohio (SOHIO) as Senior Research Physicist. His initial work involved the Alaskan Pipeline, minerals separation and mining (Kennecott Mining Division), and heterogeneous ammoxidation catalysis (SOHIO Chemcial). Later SOHIO merged with BP (NYSE: BP) and Dr. Tenhover became the BP Chief Scientist for Advanced Materials. In 1999, Dr. Tenhover joined the Hosokawa Micron Corporation (Osaka, Japan) as the Chief Technology Officer (third highest position in the company). In this role, Dr. Tenhover was responsible for the 5 Global R&D centers (staff of 100) for Hosokawa and all new product development.
In 2003, Dr. Tenhover returned to the USA and currently resides in Oceanside, California. Dr. Tenhover has 36 issued US Patents, 3 invited review chapters for scientific books, has edited a major book on Advanced Materials, 89 publications in peer-reviewed scientific publications, and has given numerous invited scientific lectures at conferences and major universities around the world. Dr. Tenhover is a member of the American Physical Society (APS).

ZeroGap stands for Zero Emission Refining Onsite with Gas Assisted Production. The ZeroGap technology is still in the research and development stage but shows significant promise based on existing proven technologies of hydrocracking and hydrotreating for upgrading and refining crude oil. ZeroGap is also an environmentally friendly technology with a small footprint and potential for near zero toxic emissions.
The key function of the TAB is to provide advice and input to the Stellar's executives on technology issues and opportunities relating to the oil and gas business.
The TAB's primary role will be to:
- Provide advice and feedback to the executives of the Company on technology plans and projects;
- Make Stellar aware of technology opportunities related to the Stellar's core mission;
- Promote and advocate for Stellar's technologies and mission.
As a member of the TAB, Dr. Tenhover will work closely with executive staff. The TAB will advise the Company on all technical aspects of Stellar's exploration and technological development plans and programs as well as provide ongoing technical oversight to ensure that all programs implemented by management are conducted to the highest standards of management and environmental and regulatory compliance.
