ST. LOUIS, Dec. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- After nearly a year in beta, StemCounter.com is ready for prime time. The Pro version of the cloud-based software tool for florists will be released on Monday, December 7 – just in time for some of the busiest months of the year. More details on the launch are available here.
Ryan and Rachael O'Neil, the husband and wife team behind StemCounter.com, have invested tremendous amounts of time and resources in bringing this unique tool to floral designers everywhere. "We've worked hard to create something that adds real value to florists' business processes," explains Ryan. "After much feedback, testing and tweaking, we are now confident in bringing the commercial version of StemCounter.com to the global community of florists."
The O'Neils began developing StemCounter.com in response to a "perennial" problem faced by florists when dealing with bridal clients. Rachael, owner of her own shop, Twisted Willow, could not produce accurate, on-the-spot estimates for most of these clients. That gave brides time to shop around; alternatively, she sometimes underbid and lost business as a result. Ryan, a software developer, envisioned a solution to this problem in the form of a simple, custom tool with all the features and functions florists need.
StemCounter Pro gives subscribers access to a wide assortment of tools, each with measurable benefits for floral designers. Naturally, subscribers enjoy automated stem counting, and the software is pre-loaded with dozens of the most in-demand wedding flowers. Users have the option to add unlimited custom flowers and items to the inventory, as well as create instant, professional proposals for an unlimited number of events. Data backs up to the cloud every 5 minutes, and the software is accessible from any computer with an Internet connection.
The "old-fashioned" way of producing quotes usually involved pen and paper or, more recently, Excel spreadsheets. StemCounter.com is the first software solution designed specifically for the floral industry. A new feature that will go live with the launch of StemCounter Pro is the capacity to add photos to proposals, in addition to logos, helping florists to further build their brand.
Feedback from beta users has been resoundingly positive. At Twisted Willow, Rachael has seen a significant uptick in bridal clients signing contracts during their initial visit and consultation. StemCounter.com has empowered her to get straight to work on floral design rather than waste energy on administrative tasks. Another florist remarked that the software is "changing the way I run my business, and I love it."
Beta users who wish to continue using the software will be transitioned to Pro users. The standard subscription price for StemCounter Pro will be $47 per month.

A professional florist herself for ten years, Rachael is the owner of Twisted Willow, a wedding and event floral design boutique.
