Stephanie Barnes Named President of Eastern District of Texas Bar Association

PLANO, Texas, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Accomplished intellectual property lawyer Stephanie Barnes of East Texas-based Siebman, Burg, Phillips & Smith, LLP, is taking on a new professional role as the President of the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association (EDTX Bar).

Ms. Barnes is only the second woman to be named as president since the EDTX Bar was founded in 1995.

Ms. Barnes practices in the Plano office of Siebman, Burg, Phillips & Smith. Her litigation clients include a variety of businesses and individuals in cases involving intellectual property claims, complex business disputes and other civil matters. Ms. Barnes has more than a decade of legal experience, including prior service as a judicial clerk for former Chief Judge Curtis L. Collier in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
