Steps2Walk and Paragon 28® Combine Efforts to Reach Thousands of Foot & Ankle Surgeons Across the Globe in a Virtual Educational Event
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., May 5, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 24th, 2020, Steps2Walk, in partnership with Paragon 28 hosted a 2-day virtual event -- complete with 32 hours of content for foot and ankle surgeons around the world.
5,000 total health care providers registered from 98 different countries to attend the first-ever World Advanced Foot and Ankle Congress from the comfort of their homes. "Dr. Mark Myerson and I started to collaborate on a way to provide an educational event for foot and ankle surgeons during COVID-19 about 3 weeks ago," shared Albert DaCosta, Co-Founder, President, CEO Paragon 28. "We worked quickly to deliver a robust platform of learning for health care professionals to access anywhere in the world."
Over 100 surgeon speakers, representing 35 different countries, volunteered to participate in this event. The momentum behind the event grew in a matter of 2 weeks, with more and more volunteers offering to present on advanced concepts in foot and ankle. All speakers were given 5 to 15 minutes to present; sharing a wealth of knowledge and experience across most conditions of the foot and ankle.
