BURLINGTON, Mass., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sterling Homes Development Corporation, a custom home builder specializing in new home construction and home renovation, today announced that the company will host an exclusive press event at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, October 26th at 5 Lawrence Road in Wellesley, MA to demonstrate a modular "house setting"-- the real-time construction of a modular home piece by piece (rain date TBD). Russell D. Busa, president of Sterling Homes, and Chet Pasho, Building Systems Consultant at Preferred Building Systems of Claremont, NH will present an overview on modular construction and will be available to answer questions.

"Most people don't realize that modular building is happening in affluent towns like Wellesley, Weston and Concord," explains Russ. "Modular construction is still largely misunderstood in the marketplace, but this is changing. Simply put, a modular home is built in a factory, usually in assembly-line fashion, and then transported to a site in large units. At this event, the press can watch as these units are then lifted from the transport by crane and rested on a foundation and fastened together.
