Steven Hall & Partners Expands

LOS ANGELES, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive compensation consultants Steven Hall & Partners today announced that James V. Hughes has been named Managing Director Western Region.  Mr. Hughes will be based in the firm's new Los Angeles office.

Prior to joining Steven Hall & Partners, Mr. Hughes was Senior Managing Director and head of the Los Angeles office of Pearl Meyer & Partners.  He has over 25 years of consulting experience in executive compensation, particularly in the banking, healthcare, transportation, technology and gaming industries.  He also advises extensively on IPO compensation issues, mergers, acquisitions, spins and bankruptcies as well as proxy disclosure and customized compensation surveys.  Previously, Mr. Hughes was a Partner and Western Regional head of Arthur Andersen's Compensation Strategy and Equity Incentives Group.
