GREENBELT, Md., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- SGT, Inc., a leading provider of Engineering, Science, Project Management, and Information Technology services, today announced that the Department of Interior has awarded SGT the Technical Support Services Contract (TSSC). This contract supports the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
USGS EROS processes and distributes data from Landsat and other Earth observing satellites, as well as other forms of geographic information. USGS EROS manages and maintains a national archive of remotely sensed data and scientific information that is used for land management, energy, mineral, and water resources applications. Under the TSSC Contract, SGT will provide scientific, engineering, and technical support for data reception, processing, archiving, distribution, and research of remotely sensed data and other forms of geographic information, in support of the National Satellite Land Remote Sensing Data Archive at the USGS EROS Center.
