StoneRiver, Inc. Granted First Stream® Suite Patent for Semantic Model for Insurance Software Components

StoneRiver filed patent applications on four inventions related to Stream suite. This patent is the first to be granted to StoneRiver from the United States Patent & Trademark Office, and additional patents are expected. The issued patent number is 8,650,043 and is entitled SEMANTIC MODEL FOR INSURANCE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS.  The patent involves an advanced approach to model and connect insurance software components using semantic constructs.  The patent embodies advanced architectural concepts implemented with StoneRiver's Insurance Integration Platform (IIP) featuring an advanced enterprise bus and composite functional services. Key advantages of this technology include flexibility and configurability, integration to other systems and reuse of services and functionality as the system evolves to adapt to business needs.
