Stony Brook University Offers Day Tennis Camps and the Only Residential Tennis Camps in Long Island, N.Y.

STONY BROOK, N.Y., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Stony Brook University Tennis Coach Gary Glassman, currently in his 11th season as the head men's and women's coach, will be running his 10th annual summer tennis camp in July. This is the only residential and day tennis camp on Long Island.

This year, Glassman is partnering with 4 Star Camps to offer more than 50 years of combined expertise for campers.

The camp will once again use the 12 courts at Stony Brook University on the north shore of Long Island. The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) stops right at the campus, 60 miles east of Manhattan, and counselors meet all campers at the train station to ensure they are transported safely to the dorms.

In addition to Coach Glassman, his assistants, local tennis pros and college tennis players, will round out the staff to ensure top-notch instruction and supervision. Campers will learn from proven tennis coaches through personal instruction; strategy sessions; singles-and-doubles play; a specialized fitness and conditioning program; and over five hours of tennis each day.

Evenings will be filled with fun activities to ensure a well-rounded experience.
