The new TapeMaster provides extremely fast duplication speeds approaching 600MB/sec compressed. When you compare native data rates, that's 300MB/sec, which is faster than typical 7200 RPM hard drive (130 MB/sec).  "This is an awesome achievement since you can duplicate many LTO tapes in a few hours instead of typically taking days using off-the-shelf software which oftentimes does not make successful copies at all," mentions Gordon.

The new TapeMaster platform also supports all generations of Linear Tape Open (LTO) Ultrium technology from the original LTO to the latest LTO-7 and is future-proof for next generation LTO as well. Duplication modes include bit-for-bit Copy and Copy-and-Verify mode that automatically performs a bit-for-bit verification immediately after copy process is completed.

To operate the TapeMaster no computer is required. It's a complete standalone unit with easy to read LCD display and 4-button control panel. These units are appropriate for top-secret government applications since they do not have a built-in hard-disk-drive and do not retain any tape data in the device during or after copy process.

The TapeMaster comes standard with a built-in diagnostic feature that allows the user to quickly and easily check the overall health of the system at any time.
