Innovative Promotion Allows Facebook Fans to Earn Cash for Friends' Spa Week Purchases, Earnings Deposited Directly into a Personal PayPal Account

MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Spa Week, the largest and most successful Spa Marketing Event in the spa industry, announced today the launch of a branded Facebook application, developed by Strobe Promotions, that allows fans to engage in a friend-to-friend affiliate rewards program, earning cash incentives for purchases made as a direct result of sharing the promotion with their social network.

The unique program is the first socially-based peer-to-peer program of its kind, rewarding participants with cash.  Through the promotion, participants will receive up to a 10% commission, paid in the form of cash deposited directly into a designated PayPal account, on every purchase made through their social sharing, including posts on Facebook and tweets on Twitter.

"Traditionally, the health & beauty industry has been an early adopter of affiliate programs and marketing tactics that generate business-building peer endorsements," said Laura Campbell, Chief Operating Officer of Spa Week Media Group. The innovative revenue sharing program will run through 2011.  Throughout the holiday period, participants will receive a special 10% holiday commission. Following the holiday season, brand ambassadors who continue to share Spa Week's nationwide special offers on spa treatments will receive 5% of friends' purchases.  All participants must be a fan of Spa Week on Facebook in order to participate in the promotion.
