STS, the Solution Partner for MOF and NBAD, Successfully Delivers the Major Phase of eDirham G2

eDirham G2 was among the most important enterprise projects and technical innovations which were launched at GITEX Technology Week 2011, which concluded recently.

UAE's Ministry of Finance (MOF) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) jointly announced the launch of eDirham G2 in a mutual press conference, after its inauguration by HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE's Vice President/ Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, during his visit to eDirham G2 booth in GITEX 2011.

By participating in GITEX 2011, MOF and NBAD highlighted the characteristics and features of eDirham G2, powered by a solution provided by STS. MOF and NBAD also demonstrated a number of functions and services provided by eDirham G2 for individual and corporate users in the public and private sectors. Such features shall enable users to make electronic payment against the services of governmental and non-governmental organizations, utilizing eDirham G2's online payment gateway as well as its wide network of POS terminals, using "AlHaslah" Prepaid cards, as well as traditional credit cards (e.g. Visa, MasterCard) and direct bank-account debit, such payments can be made with real-time connection with the electronic services provided by ministries and other eDirham G2 participating entities. STS delivered the current phase of the system by utilizing its PayONE™ software platform.

eDirham G2 introduces a new network of ATMs/ CDMs and a network of EFT POS terminals that enables customers to top-up their cards conveniently, and offers a range of customer care and technical support services integrated to an advanced call center, incident tracking system, a state-of-the-art self service portal as we as an SMS notification service.

Within the future coming phases of eDirham G2, MOF and NBAD plan to provide new and diverse features, including bill payment and extended  eCommerce services, as well as mobile payment, and single-use vouchers, and electronic wallet (virtual wallet).
