Study Group Hires Santuza Bicalho To Lead Global Sales For Embassy English

NEW YORK, Feb. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Study Group, a worldwide leader in providing higher education and English language learning programs, announced today that Santuza Paolucci N. Bicalho has been named Senior Vice President, Global Sales of its Embassy English division.  Based in Brazil, Bicalho will oversee global agent sales for Embassy English reporting to Jean Vernor, Managing Director of Embassy English. She will also join the Study Group Senior Leadership Team.

Bicalho's career spans 18 years at Student Travel Bureau (STB Brazil), rising through the organization from Educational Counselor to CEO – a position she held for the past seven years. In this capacity, she was responsible for 72 offices across Brazil and for leading the company's management team. Under her leadership, STB Brazil opened 22 new sales offices, launched an e-commerce platform and significantly grew language travel and student travel sales. Bicahlo's commitment to advancing the Language Travel industry has been evident in her contributions as Chairman and Treasurer of the Association of Language Travel Organizations (ALTO), and through high-level participation in other trade organizations such as Federation for International Youth Travel Organizations (FIYTO) and the World Youth Student & Education Travel Confederation (WYSETC).
