STW Resources and Tat-Tech Achieve Independent Third Party Certification for Water Remediation Technology

MIDLAND, Texas, March 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- STW Resources Holding Corp. (OTCQB: STWS), an integrated provider of oilfield services and water management, announced today that the water remediation system it is developing through its joint venture with Tat-Tech has attained third-party laboratory certification. The company's High Frequency Electro Induction System (HFEIS) has been certified effective by Permian Laboratories in Midland. STW and Tat-Tech are now developing a larger mobile system for commercialization that can process roughly 200,000 gallons (4,700 bbls) of oilfield produced, frac flowback, and/or brackish water per day.  The system, which is designed to be mounted on a trailer and started with a generator, is self sustaining, with the ability to remove salt and other contaminants from the water, while generating enough electricity not only to power itself but excess electricity that can be transmitted to other end users. If larger volumes of water need to be processed, additional units can be integrated.

"STW funded the efficacy period in conjunction with Tat-Tech to transition from a bench top test in a laboratory to a full size field testable unit, which resulted in taking produced water with 72,100 Chlorides down below our target of 220 parts per million and TDS of 94,200 to 1,270 parts per million," stated Lee Maddox, COO of STW Resources.
