Sun River Energy, Inc. Announces Senior Management Addition
DALLAS, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sun River Energy, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SNRV). Sun River Energy, Inc. entered into a three year employment contract with Thomas J. Schaefer. Effective September 1, 2010, Mr. Schaefer will begin work for the Company as a senior petroleum engineer. It is anticipated under his contract that he will subsequently assume the title and duties of Vice-President of Engineering upon approval by the board of directors. The Company's Board of Directors is expected to appoint Mr. Schaefer as Vice-President of Engineering at its next regularly scheduled Board meeting.

"I believe Tom Schaefer is a great addition to the operating team we have assembled. Tom has over 15 years of engineering experience both domestically and internationally, including all phases of reservoir and production engineering and drilling operations, both on and offshore. He has supervised up to five rigs simultaneously as a Certified Project Management Professional.
"After graduating from The University of Texas with a B.S. in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering, Tom began his career as an engineer at Mobil. Following his tenure at Mobile, he was employed in senior positions at Schlumberger and then ConocoPhillips. He also served as Vice-President of Operations at ASRC E&P Technology group. Over the course of his career, Tom has been responsible for the identification, staffing, financing and execution of drilling projects on a world-wide basis, with hands-on experience in 17 countries.
"In 2006, as president of Dorado Exploration Inc. ("Dorado"), I hired Tom as Dorado's executive vice-president. For a period of two years he oversaw a developmental drilling team in the East Texas Basin. During this time he was responsible for Dorado being awarded three industry records, two for drilling speed and one relating to hydraulic fracture technique.
"Tom brings broad experience in East Texas and the Rocky Mountains with both vertical and horizontal drilling as well as enhanced completion techniques to Sun River. As such, I believe Tom will be a major asset to the Company as we move forward with the development of Sun River's mineral interest in Colfax County, New Mexico."
