NEW YORK, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Author, actor, TV host, and soon-to-be-dad Mario Lopez – whose new book, Extra Lean, is already earning critical acclaim – appears on the cover of DTM Magazine's June 2010 issue. The issue, which is dedicated to fathers, also features such notable Latino dads as Benjamin Bratt, George Lopez, Luis Guzman, and Ricky Martin.
Lopez, best known for his role as A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell and his star turn on Dancing with the Stars, gave an exclusive interview to DTM's associate editor Bernadette Giacomazzo, where he talked about being a Latino role model, healthy eating, and his Mexican upbringing. His exclusive photo shoot was done by photographer Cathrine Westergaard, and his styling was done by Nathan Hamilton for M.A.C. Cosmetics, who has previously worked with such superstars as Pamela Anderson, Beyonce, and Angelina Jolie.
"Mr. Lopez, along with many other famous Latinos, is redefining pop culture in America, and we are happy to have him grace our cover," said Juan Guillen, publisher of DTM Magazine.
Besides a special section dedicated to Mario Lopez and other Latino dads, the June 2010 issue of DTM also features an exclusive interview with adult film actress Vanessa del Rio (who recently released a new retrospective on Taschen Books), exclusive photos from the Latin Billboard Awards, and an exclusive interview with Don Omar and his work with the Harlistas of Harley-Davidson.
Finally, June 2010's issue is the final issue of DTM Magazine – after nearly ten (10) years of serving the community under the DTM banner, the magazine will relaunch in July as LATINTRENDS in an effort to take their mission to a national, international, and global scale.
DTM's mission is to influence a new generation of lifestyle-conscious Hispanics through original, bilingual/bicultural content that defines trends, promotes diversity, discovers emerging talent, and celebrates Latino culture.
Extra Lean is in bookstores now.
