TORONTO, March 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ontario announced recently that it will help Brose Canada create and retain 710 jobs in Ontario. Brose is a partner to the international automobile industry and delivers systems for vehicle doors, liftgates, seat structures and electric drives worldwide to approximately 80 automobile brands and more than 30 suppliers.
Ontario is providing this support through its Southwestern Ontario Development Fund. This investment will help Brose Canada acquire new, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to attract new business, increase exports and compete in new markets.
For ten years, the Ontario government has been a strong partner to the auto sector, as the industry is vitally important to Ontario's economic prosperity.

- Ontario is providing a grant of just over $1 million to support Brose Canada's significant investment in this project.
- The Southwestern Ontario Development Fund is helping to create jobs and diversify the economy by encouraging regional businesses to pursue innovation and new markets. To date, the fund has helped create and protect approximately 9,000 jobs throughout southwestern Ontario.
